Bethany Church Ministries

Church School: This is a great way to learn more about GodÍs Word, the Bible. Our leaders help in this process as we come to faith, grow in faith, and live in faith. We meet during the school year following morning worship.

Senior High and Junior High Youth Groups meet regularly. Along with Bible Study, these groups do service projects in the community, attend retreats, and plan social events. In past years the Senior High group has gone on a summer mission trip to destinations as close as Gary, Indiana, to as far away as Mexico and Toronto.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB: Seniors and others meet the first Sunday night of each month during the school year after services for a light supper and a program. Topics range from discussions on Estate Planning to just having an old-fashioned hymn sing. Guest speakers are often times part of this ministry.

DORCAS SOCIETY: A Bible study for senior women, this group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Change Wednesday to Tuesday

MEN’S MORNING FELLOWSHIP: A time of conversation, coffee, and prayer for men every first and third Thursday morning at 6:30 AM in the Youth/Activities Building. Change to first and third

PRAYER ROOM: We provide a quiet place for people to spend time in prayer. The Prayer Room in the Youth/Activities Building is open weekdays.

WORSHIP SERVICES: Sunday morning services are at 9:30 AM These are great events for the entire family . The songs, prayers, and messages are Biblical, encouraging, and upbeat. Nursery care is provided during worship services and church school. Children's Worship is offered for ages 3 through 1st grade during the morning service.

Sunday evenings are a special time, and the first Sunday evening each month is dedicated to a time of prayer. The third Sunday evening each month is focused on music, and a variety of special events are planned, from old fashioned hymnsings, praise and worship, guest musicians, and concerts. These Sunday evening activities begin at 6 PM. On the second and fourth Sunday evening, no services are planned since these are times set aside for small groups to meet together.

CONGREGATIONAL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: Events are planned on a regular basis. Picnics, socials, outings, ice cream and coffee socials, carnivals, pig roasts, and guest musical artists are some of the ways for us to stay connected with each other and to reach the community too.

WOMEN IN PRAYER: This group of women meet on the first and third Tuesday mornings beginning at 8:30 AM in the Youth/Activities Building. This is an opportunity to learn how to pray, to spend time together praising God, and interceding before Him for the needs of familes, our church, and ourselves.

CRAFT CLUB

Crafters one and all meet each Tuesday from 10 AM to 2 PM in the Youth/Activities Building.

A new ministry for women by mentoring and caring women, Apples of Gold is aimed at younger women who are raising families and facing the challenges of daily life.
